FISHING TECHNIQUES

Fishing Techniques at Guinea Fishing Camp

In the Archipelago of Loos Islands you can do all the fishing techniques.

JIGGING :
All the attraction of jig lies in its specific animation.
This is to sink to the bottom and back up jerkily (waddling) at a variable speed.
This action must be constantly renewed to allow to give an illusion of life that will attract predators and stimulate their reflexes attacks.
Moreover, it allows to probe all the stages of the water, from the bottom to the surface: one explores with this technique a large column of water.
Little trick: accelerate the ascent when you approach the surface, it is usually in this area that the fish swim faster.
You are warned, jigging is not relaxing, it requires physical effort and good technique !

TROLLING :
It's a technique or even a neophyte can achieve a beautiful capture of barracudas or other carangues ...
Besides, many experienced fishermen come back to remember their first emotions. Caution, recommended 10 to 20cm plunging lures.

SUPPORTED FISHING :
This term refers to a natural bait fishery, from an anchored boat. The fishing to support is a very effective technique on many species, in particular the sea bream for example.
You have to go around rocky plateaus or wrecks. The boat is anchored and primed with a pierced bag filled with crushed sardines. The bag is sealed and retained by a rope. The fisherman must then throw his line in the smells of the bait and wait for the touch, which usually takes very little time.
There are variants. First, if the corner is really good, it is useless to start. Then, if the current is low, one can fish in slow drift rather than anchored. In all cases, the mounting must remain close to the bottom.

Fishing equipment to support :
The Rod should be short with a soft scion. If the scion is too stiff, the fish can spit the bait. For this same reason, nylon may be preferred to the braid for this fishery. The lack of elasticity of the braid results in relaxation and stalling.

The assembly of a line to be supported :
Most montages work, the main thing is to fish near the bottom. A slider can be used. It is also possible to use simple piles placed above a terminal lead. Some fishermen like to add pearls. The hook should be adapted to the fish you want to fish.
The bait will be a piece of cuttlefish, sardine, or other small fish.

The fishing technique to be supported :
The fisherman must let his mounting go down, then resume contact when the bottom is reached. Cane fishing in hand. It is necessary to wait a continuous touch and shoe ample. The fight is very nice because the fish is surprisingly powerful for its size.

Careful, this is certainly the basic technique that allows to catch of large fishes with maximum chance.

POPPING :
The popper concept is formidable, this lure has its front part (lure muzzle) curved in such a way that each time it is pulled from the tip of the rod, this part pushes water by breaking the surface of the water of a "Pop" raging leaving a trail of bubbles behind him.
This "pop" sound on the surface of the water is most annoying, arousing the curiosity and aggressiveness of carnivores.
Equipped with this powerful sound and visual advantage, the popper emits dull vibrations rather base frequencies coupled with a cavitation effect on the surface perfectly recreating the leak of a panic-stricken fish, the bubbles left in the wake of the popper also facilitates the Vision of the carnivorous who follows it to the track very close before attacking !
This technique is favorable to certain periods when the benches of Barracudas, Cobia, Dorado Dolphin fishes, Jackfruit and Tarpon decide to let us see that they are present.

FISHING WITH ALIVE FISH BAITS :
This fishing technique is simple, the difficulty lies in the ability to find alive small fishes, that catch themselves in the fishing grounds of the palangrotte technique (recommended little hooks) and keep them alive.
The fishing action is preponderant when the shoal of fishes approach the area. Let drift the alive fish bait in the current, wire stretched to the rod, pull when the fish hangs the alive bait.

SURFCASTING :
It's the technique that fills beach lovers who like to fish day and night and fight from the edge of very combative fishes such as Captains, Guitar Rays, Stingrays ...

PALANGROTTE :
Spend a day familiarizing yourself with your first "exotic" fish, that are numerous and vigorous. Beware of the big ones ...
